Lentt Open Lentt

Terms of use

Effective November 6, 2026

The short version. Lentt is free, offered as-is, and meant for keeping track of things between people who trust each other. Be decent, don't break it, and remember that a loan card is a reminder, not a contract.

Agreeing to these terms

By opening Lentt you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

What Lentt is

Lentt is a free web app for remembering things, and sums of money, you lent to people and borrowed from them. It is a personal reminder, not a ledger of record: it does not move money, charge interest, handle rentals, or create, record or enforce any legal obligation between you and anyone else. The dates, amounts, nudges and "returned" marks are reminders between friends.

Your account

You can use Lentt without an account; your list is tied to a cookie in your browser. If you add an email, you are responsible for keeping access to that inbox. Don't share sign-in codes. Tell us if you think someone else is using your list.

Your content

What you type and upload stays yours. You give us permission to store it, show it back to you, and show the parts you choose to share (a loan card) to the people you share them with — nothing more. Don't upload things you have no right to, and don't put other people's private details in notes. Names are fine; phone numbers and addresses aren't needed.

Acceptable use

Availability and changes

Lentt is a small project. We try to keep it running and will keep the core free, but we may change features, pause the service, or shut it down. If we ever shut it down we will give notice in the app and keep export working for a reasonable time.

Ending things

You can delete your account and all data at any time from Settings. We may suspend or remove accounts that break these terms or put other users at risk.

No warranty

Lentt is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We don't promise it will be error-free, that reminders will arrive on time, or that a lent item will come back. Keep your own notes for anything important.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Lentt and its maker are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, items or friendships arising from use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us, which for the free service is nothing.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [the maker's country of residence — to be filled in before launch], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If a part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and mention it in the app. Continuing to use Lentt after that means you accept the new terms.
